He's no Onyx Blackman, but. . .

[spoilers for the Buffy season 7 premiere, for those of you not in the US]

. . . I like the new principal of Sunnydale High. True, he doesn't have much of a personality yet, and there's a distinct lack of photos of him around the building, but we just have the one episode to go on so far.

Meanwhile, I managed to miss West Wing and Firefly. Forget me own head if it wasn't. . . hang on.

Thought I'd lost some weight. Um, Karen, could you box that up and send it to me? Think it's on the coffee table in the front room.

I'm kind of hoping the new principal turns out to be some sort of Secret Good Guy, but I think he's secretly part of the Council.

Of course, I also thought (hoped?) Willow was going to become a Vengeance Demon, so take that as you will.

He has to grow on me. He has great facial hair though.

I'm just happy to see people of color on the show that aren't vampires and demons. Hopefully.

But my current dream for the show is for an apocalyptic meltdown that leaves Buffy dead, Giles broken and bitter, Willow supremely evil, Xander as Dawn's guardian and Faith as the dark, slightly demented Slayer/Mentor who must keep this strange new world together.

But, you know, we all have our dreams.

Jason, how did I just know Faith was going to be involved in this?

VASpider, didn't Willow do enough vengeancing at the end of last season for you? You always been this bloodthirsty?

Don't answer that.

It's a Tara thing, Aaron. I'm totally, and always have been, a Willow/Tara shipper. Plus, a friend of mine once recast Buffy (because he's an utter geek) with people he knows. I ended up as Tara, with my GF at the time as Willow.

Willow-as-demon also would have been an interesting tie-in to that ep a couple of seasons ago when Willow was offered a job as a vengeance demon by D'Hoffryn.

Anyway, Willow won't have done enough vengeancing for the death of Tara for my tastes until she's offed Joss (at least in effigy) for the decision to gack Tara.

No, Warren isn't close enough.
