The Obvious Child
Despite my utter certainty that it isn't going to work, this entry is being composed in links. Which wraps text very oddly in the narrow text entry box.
However, the emacs commands I typed without thinking work, so it's all good.
And the redirect/post does Very Bad Things, so that's not going to work. Phooey. Hong Kong Phooey.
And if that 'toon doesn't leave you saying "What the fuck?" for the next ten minutes, you may be too young to be reading this. Check with your parents.

Ummm...I'll have to get back to you in about 20 years, when i finally get it to load.

Damn. I do not remember Hong Kong Phooey being that ripped. I have no image at hand to compare it with but I don't think he grew two feet and a hundred pounds after a cycle through the file cabinet.

Hong Kong Phooey meets Bloody Roar meets Tekken meets lots and lots of drugs.
Oddly, there's as much if not more movement in that Flash animation as there normally was in a 70s Hanna-Barbera cartoon.
Cheap bastards.

Hadn't thought about that but you're totally right. The original cartoon would fall in the mid 70's slightly-better-than-stop-motion animation school.
A bunch of us were talking about the competing Ghostbusters cartoons the other night. This Google mission should you choose to accept it...

Dude, I can't even spell Straczynski.
Why is this stuff in my head? It just is.

Ahhh The Real Ghostbusters vs. Ghostbusters...cartoons are fun.
I was going to say that that Hong Kong Phooey short was the best cartoon I'd seen in awhile but I'm watching aqua teen hungerforce right now and I watched a rerun of the really good Justice League episode centered on The Trial of Green Lantern.
Because really its a buddy cop movie with Flash playing Mel Gibson.
And I loves me some Mel Gibson.

"If the ring doesn't fit. . ."
Remember being shocked that line made it past Standards & Practices, then laughing my fool head off.
Green Lantern is voiced by the same guy who does Static and Samurai Jack, so you'd think I'd remember his name. . .

*sigh* We gave up cable for the well-being of budget and small person. Rarely miss it, except when cartoons of any stripe or *Iron Chef* come up in conversation.

Thanks for the name, VASpider. Did you look that up, or do you have Needless Trivia Retention, too?
garrity, I pulled the Justice League episodes off gnutella. Which really isn't an option if you're on a dialup, I know. Um. Is there a convenient university nearby, with unmonitored computers that have built-in cd burners?
