. . . how the hell does this monstrosity rank slightly above George? There really is no accounting for taste. . .

Ask (well, idly mention, more like) and ye shall receive. Since the Referrer System code I swiped from Stephen Downes after seeing it in action at wood s lot doesn't really count. Well, it counts, hence the numbers in brackets, but. . . did I mention I'm out of coffee? No? Does it show?

Anyway, right, Anna. Who I'm apparently meant to find attractive. Good thing people mention these things, I'd not have realized it otherwise.

I note with disgust that I"m still listed as a Minnesota Blog, and that otherwise cool local chain Dunn Bros has opened a location in Maul of America.

Swear I'm going to buy a shitload of red paint and put a Dayton-Hudson target on the roof of that thing one of these days. . .

Still building the defense. How'm I doin' so far?

Well, damn, if I'd known it was that easy, I'd have idly mentioned it a week ago.

Still, I'd be frightened to see who I'd end up as, if it's not Tara.

Damn, I'm smooth today. Maybe I need more coffee.

thanks so much for the link!!! im gonna have to swipe that wood s lot code from you.

thanks again!

Huh. How about that. Moveable Type doesn't automatically add links, and come up with nicknames, when you use Trackback. Could'a sworn I'd already. . . sorry 'bout that, VASpider.

Think Laura gets veto power over who gets the Tara nick. Or Rebecca does. Or I should get more coffee, too.

Tony, de nada.

That sounds suspiciously like kd's dream where she had Moveable Type that would read her mind and automatically blog her dreams while she was sleeping. Or something like that. Maybe it wasn't kd. Maybe I just dreamed that blog entry. Who knows?

Ah, well. I tried. I still want to be Tara, but, damn, I guess they would, then. I feel spiffy, anyway.

The fact that I just used the word "spiffy" means I definitely require coffee.

And somewhere in there I swear it says "thank you."

People keep saying that.

It makes me worry I should express gratitude when someone links here.

Well, when someone sane links here, anyway.

You're quite welcome, and thank you for linking a while ago. If you do get coffee, please do not give kd any.

Well, I just think that I shouldn't ramble on and complain that I didn't get the nickname I wanted and not thank you.

Seems rude, and all.

You're quite welcome, and I solemnly promise not to give kd coffee, because I do not believe in decaf. It does not exist in my consensual universe.

Hm. Better be careful. If I keep saying things like that, I might end up dittoing my head right off.

Nah.

Change of subject.

I just got my hands on Anuna's most recent CD (as in, they brought the package to my desk 15 minutes ago) and am really enjoying it so far. Very few things on any of their CDs measure up to the Blessed Notker, though.

Oh, I see how it is. Ginger comments in a thread, and y'all go quiet. That's ra-- hang on, that's not right.

Does the popularity of Celtic music (present company excluded, natch) fit into the cultural appropriation thing discussed elsewhere?

And how's the rest of the cd?
