For Michelle and Belinda
Just because.
Permalink later today (on their site, if not here) for this morning's Morning Edition:
He's created dozens of classics, from "Folsom Prison Blues" to "Ring of Fire." More than 1,500 songs in 50 years, and Johnny Cash is still on the hunt for more. Tuesday on Morning Edition, host Bob Edwards talks to the legendary Johnny Cash.
I only caught the tail end of the interview. They played a bit of the U2 cover, if you like that sort of thing. And if you don't, there's something very wrong with you.

Aww thanks. Belinda will be so happy. I have to run by the music story today to pick up the new disc with the U2 cover. And you're right if people don't like it then there is definitely something wrong with them.

No worries. You'll have to write a review of the album, you know.
And this is to make up for the fact that I probably won't get to Ohio to see you kids. . .

Oh I see. You were trying to butter me up for disappointing news. I see how you are.

and see...i was going to email this morning edition piece to M & B too and now I come here and you people are making veiled jabs at me.
Damn.
But, that's fine, as I do like the U2 cover now that they've been playing it so regularly on my beloved KCRW.

Jason, I assure you neither Michelle nor I would make veiled jabs.
You're grooving on KCRW. That forgives much.
Michelle, nobody likes hanging around broke, disoriented Negroes. Not even other broke, disoriented Negroes, which is why I'm not staying with my sister. And I really should have thanked her roomies, Eve and Jessica, before leaving their place in a state. . .

Yeah neither of us is so good with the veiled part.

Not...OH? sputter. dark looks.
Fine. M & B & I'll just sit around & be devious in your general direction, then.
& you know I'm evil...

Oh, I feel so loved. Thanks Aaron. Have you been listening to the new album? They have been playing it on our local NPR here in L'ville -- it is the "album of the week". The tracks I have heard have so far been great. Happy day.

Neo, um, I'll have a look at Orbitz or something. . .
Belinda, you're welcome. I've only heard the one song from the new cd, because I suck. And am listening to the wrong NPR affiliates, apparently.
