As suggested by not me Aaron, but him Aaron: Daily Nexus Online :: 'Boondocks' Author Visits UCSB.
McGruder began his speech by saying he is bored by static lectures. He invited the audience to shout out questions or subjects they would like to hear his view on. When an audience member yelled that she would like to hear his views on the possible war against Iraq, McGruder said if people came to his speech expecting an anti-war rally, they would be sorely disappointed."There's three things Bushes do: Make lots of money for themselves and their friends, kill brown people and try to take over the world," McGruder said. "Knowing this, you all should have been trying to do something a few years back when Bush stole the election. It's too late now."
Opinions expressed in quoted material represent those of the speaker, and not mine.
Well, ok, in this case I agree with the guy, but as a general rule. . .
You can also find out which national political party asked the 28-year-old McGruder to run for an office described in the Constitution as closed to persons "who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years."
Or take a wild guess.

I always knew I liked that guy...:) (especially since the "Flagee and Ribbon" strips he did)
and the Green party heads aren't the brightest stars in the universe...didn't much go for Nader...
I was going to say "constitution schmonstitution" - but then I thought I might be violating a trademark owned by the Bush administration.
dude, he sure seems to have it in for vivaca fox. [did i spell that right?]
boondocks is the new doonesbury, with a little 21st century brusqueness added. it cancels out all the evil on the rest of the funny papers. good to follow it with an aperitif of "zippy" as a palate cleanser.
boondocks is the new doonesbury
that about summarizes why i've lost interest in it.
but did you know that doonesbury premiered the "wimp" charge that bush sr then proceeded to undo with Gulf War I?
yeah, doonesbury has a little of that oat bran quality to it, "mom says it's good for you but..." however i am [tragically] old enough to remember when it was relevant, and perhaps i cling to it out of nostalgia like most of the rest of what clutters up my intellectual life...
but i think boondocks is still vital in that it still offers up the occasional tidbit of actual information, which is very hard to find in the funny papers.
i'm still waiting for e-sheep.com to come up with a sequel to "the spider".............

for that, i prefer tom tomorrow.
i used to like the boondocks a lot, especially around the time of the elections but it's fallen off. it's hardly touched the war.
I think Boondocks is at its best when going after the Bushies. It is least effective for me when ridiculing black entertainers who are no sillier than other entertainers. Doonesbury is still very relevant. Trudeau manages to puncture holes in Bushs policies with very sarcastic comments. We need both strips to continue on.
