Did see Jill Thompson at a Tori Amos show once
No, the blog (and the blogger) aren't dead. Just having a lie-down. No jokes about smelling funny, thank you.
As I'm still broke, no Lisa Germano or Over the Rhine shows for me. Of course they're playing Chicago now. Why bother when I could actually go?
Might be going to see Neil Gaiman doing a reading tomorrow, as part of Printers Row Book Fair, since it's free, but seeing as I used to pass up his readings/signings all the time in Minneapolis, this seems. . . odd.
And that sentence seems. . . disjointed. Which is the other reason for the lack of updates, me not feeling capable of expressing things well.
Off to listen to This American Life.

George, I remembered the anniversary when you announced yours. . . and promptly forgot it again. Duh.
I missed OtR on Saturday; not sure how much the cover is to see Lisa Germano. But since any bands I like that I see live more than once break up, and I'm not sure what that would mean for a solo act/singer, perhaps it's best I avoid the show. . .
j. brotherlove, when did you go? Alice Walker was supposed to be there this year, but there was a note announcing the cancellation. Think Jill Nelson is doing the circuit of bookstores here this week, though.
Randomly, me and my sis ended up in the elevator with Neil after the signing. She thanked him for it, he said he really enjoyed doing them in actual auditoriums since he could do more with voices, and I (to my later embarrasment ) muttered that the acoustics in Dreamhaven aren't that bad.
I think the meds are working better today than they were then.
