With cat-like tread,
Upon our prey we steal;
In silence dread,
Our cautious way we feel.
No sound at all!
We never speak a word;
A fly's foot-fall
Would be distinctly heard--

Not very pirate-y, in my worthless opinion. . .

Lyrics ganked from the World's First Web Opera, The Pirates of Penzance (or The Slave of Duty):

Welcome to the first Internet "Web Opera" -- a full Gilbert and Sullivan Opera, with all the music, lyrics, and dialogue! This Web Opera is yet another example of the tremendous ability of the Internet to both inform and entertain. See for yourself how much fun a Gilbert and Sullivan opera can be. This Web Opera includes almost 1½ hours of music, which you can come back to again and again as you sample this delightful opera.

Or you can rent either The Pirates of Penzance (with Kevin Kline and Nubian goddess Linda Ronstadt) or The Pirate Movie (with, um, Kristy McNichol). I recommend neither, but if you gotta, go with the first one.

No, I'm not sure why I've seen both of those either. . .

r@d@r was the pirate king in a sixth grade production of pirates of penzance. he got to wear a big black hat with a long feather in it, a velvet jacket, big boots and a huge flintlock pistol.

Dude, you *know* that if you saw both Pirates of Penzance and the (godawful!) Pirate Movie, that it was all *my* fault! I'm pretty sure I dragged you to see the latter in the theater. And we watched the former on ON-TV, that OLD OLD cable channel that SO no longer exists. I remember somebody thought it was a good idea to premiere the film in movie theaters AND on the ON-TV cable channel simultaneously. What were they thinkin'??

From Larry.
