Got Rice?

From Poynter Online, by way of ˇJournalista!:

The Washington Post has decided not to publish this week's Boondocks strip.

Luckily, you can still read it yourself.

Dunno about comforting the afflicted, but McGruder seems to be doing a good job of afflicting the comfortable.

And good on him, says I.

See I would have been digging that strip if Huey had come back with "she needs a man...or a woman." Then it would have been too much goodness.

This little tear Aaron McGruder's been on is worth the two weeks of repeats that led up to it.

Heh, Michelle. I think Huey may be a little young to be thinking in those directions, unless it involves Britney Spears and Madonna and then only so he can make fun of them.

Michelle, think that would have just made even more papers decline to run the strip. Bit surprised the malt liquor gag managed to make it in a few days ago.

RedHeadDread, pity Sunday seems to be a repeat. But at least it's a good one.

Elayne, I'm trying to forget that Madonna/Britney thing. It'd be even harder if I'd actually seen the awards show, but as it is, most/all of Chicago's papers deciding to run a photo on the front page the following day, which has kind'a burned it into my brainmeats. And I don't like it there. It's lowering the property values, for a start.
