While you're at it, why don't you give me a nice paper cut, and pour lemon juice on it

In other news, the new Tori Amos cd will be out tomorrow. I remember standing in line at a record store at midnight to get Under the Pink back in the day. Um, because my younger sister insisted she was going, and I didn't want her wandering around the wilds of Shampoo-Banana unescorted. Yes, that will do.

Not so much with the crazed fan behavior these days, but guess I'll pick up a copy.

Mind you, I still haven't heard all of this:

And here I stand with this sword in my hand

And that's probably for the best.

There was some single or something I ordered from Newbury Comics, but damned if I can remember what it was. Hope I kept the longbox the cd came in; apparently you can sell these for Tall Yanqui Dollars on eBay.

No, not the cds. The longboxes.

Humanity, faith in, rapidly decreasing to zero.

Update: Meh.

What's a little crazed fan behaviour between friends?

I've got that CD in my collection. Once I get them all back from PA, I'll slap the songs onto a mix CD for you, if you'd like.

VASpider, given how much Tori has distanced herself from the thing, I'm not sure if I'd like or not. But thanks, I would like to actually hear the thing some day. What did you think of it?

It's worth actually listening to at least once if only to remember where she came from. (ahem)

There's actually one song on the album (The Etienne Triolgy) that I have on my playlist and like quite a bit. In it, I can hear the beginnings of Little Earthquakes.

VASpider, think The Etienne Trilogy is the only bit of YKTR I've heard. It was on a mix tape that circulated around the Really Deep Thoughts mailing list. . . about a decade ago. Damn.

Suppose they do mix cds on lists like that now instead. Less degradation, more people with access to the equipment (had a dual deck and did the tape tree thang, it weren't pretty).

God, I'm old. Think I'll go look for some Matlock fan sites.

Anybody get the new cd? How is it?
