Or, hell, Emacs/W3
Well, according to the Browser Share Stats, nearly 80% of the people reading this site are using Internet Explorer.
Only a madman would tell 80% of his audience to go fuck themselves.
Luckily, this is not an issue.
Ain't saying you have to use Firefox, neither.
You don't even have to use a graphical browser, in fact.
Which means you wouldn't see the preceeding button, true. . .
Also true, this place should, supposedly, be Viewable With Any Browser. Where Netscape 4.x doesn't fall under the category of "browser," but does anyone want to debate that point?
Point being, I wonder how many people use IE because, after trying the alternatives, they found that it best met their needs, and how many are using it because it never crossed their minds that alternatives exist.
Or I'm just cranky.
Cranky is always a possibility.

I use it because it's there, and I'm too lazy to install anything else.

Alternatives? I choose what is simple because thinking wrinkles my brow.

I fell into the IE camp for far too long due to sheer laziness and uninterest on my part. Now that I've switched to Firefox I'd never go back to IE. Part of it is the fantabulousness of tabbed browsing. Part of it is the built in pop up blocking. But the best thing about it is that I haven't had a single piece of spy ware or ad ware since I got my new computer because I don't use IE. IE is insanely vulnerable to Spyware and ad ware and Firefox just isn't it. It's wonderful to browse and browse and browse without ever worrying about if some scuzzy crap is being installed without my knowledge or consent.

I use Firefox 'cause I like it -- it adheres the W3C standards strictly; and it's infinitely customizable. Not only that, it's fast, tabbable, and disables popups unless I want to see 'em.
In short, it returns control of the browser to me. Period.

Somehow I get the feeling you weren't really asking but anyway...
I use slimbrowser which is an IE emulator but with the fantasticness of tabbed browsing and the ability to integrate the toolbars that seem to be always be available for IE but not so much for everything else (like the A9 beta toolbar which I've been testing out and roboform which hates it when you upgrade mozilla or firefox)
Plus it does tabbed browsing better for me (allowing me to double click a tab to close it and a couple other cute lazy-friendly features).
