Ending the evening on a high note
I have a few patches of skin that have lost pigmentation.
My mom has the same condition.
Yes, MJ has had surgery for days, but I can tell you from personal experience that Vitiligo does actually exist.
Fuckheads.
Update: Oh, and one more thing. Say you're a punk-ass bitch warblogger. Which do you take the time to mention, yet another case of cops deciding it's Giuliani time and getting caught on tape, or Michael Jackson taking issue with Sony? Remember, the latter lets you make fun of Al Sharpton, too.
But I mustn't call them racist.
That would be trolling, apparently.
Update the Second: To avoid the appearance of unfairness, I checked blogdex for references to the Cali beating, and Amish Tech Support and Daily Pundit are listed as linking to it. Yet, on Amish Tech Support, the link was nowhere to be found.
Let us be charitable, and assume it was somehow accidentally removed by some Blogger bug.
Yes. That must be what happened. I shall hit Refresh on his page, and check other stories blogdex reports him as linking to, to ascertain if they, too, are missing.
Yes. That is what I shall do.
(Update 2.5: Ah. My bad. It's merely scrolled off the front page already. He expresses the hope that the injured party was white. Funny, thought that was my line.)
Meanwhile, William Quick at Daily Pundit goes off on Bill Cosby for cutting up at a White House ceremony:
I'm not a nice guy, so I'll just go ahead and note the obvious: Bill Cosby behaved like an insufferable jerk; he was an embarrassment to every other winner of the Medal of Freedom - America's highest civilian decoration, by the way - and his childish actions were an insult to the people's house in which the ceremony was held, as well as completely disrespectful to the office of the President of the United States.
Fuck him.
Let's see, goes off on Michael Jackson, goes off on the NAACP. . . ah, here we go.
Just as in the case of Rodney King, I'd like to see the entire video before coming to a conclusion. That said, I've no doubt that this sort of thing still goes on without good reason, and not just in Los Angeles. And it should stop.
UPDATE: The officer has been suspended. I have no doubt that the kid, Donovan Jackson, was what is technically known as an "asshole." But he'd been subdued, was not resisting, and was handcuffed. At that point, assaulting him becomes a crime - or it should. I understand why the cop did it. I even sympathize. I might have done the same thing myself - but I'm not a cop. We give police officers a great deal of power, which is precisely why we must hold them to a higher standard.
UPDATE II: I withdraw my comments about this young man being an "asshole." As more facts come out, it becomes obvious I jumped to a conclusion that was probably not a little racist in itself. Just to be perfectly clear, I don't sympathize with the cop, and I hope that after a proper trial he pays whatever penalty the law calls for.
Stephen Green at VodkaPundit links to the story, too, but uses the title, "The Rich (Personal Injury Lawyers) Get Richer". And the write-up is curiously lacking in details.
Well. All I have to say to all that is. . .
** WARNING: Emergency self-protection system engaged **
Update 3, Leonard Part 6: Generally, it's considered poor form to copy all of someone else's blog entry into your own. Since it would be far, far too easy to misrepresent Mr. Quick's views through selective editing, I just pasted the lot. My apologies for stepping on any toes.

I really love that the presumption was that 'the kid' must have been doing something.
love it, love it. Love that the presumption wasn't that this was a cop with a history of violence. That the presumption wasn't that this was one of those folks that got in the force just so he could beat up people. That the presumption wasn't that the skin color of the victim was what gave this asshole cop carte blanche to bash him while his fellow officers tried to stop him while also protecting him (the officer, not the kid).
Hmmm...wonder why they were dealing with the kid on the back of the police car instead of in the front where the video camera is?
fuck the police coming straight from the underground, a young nigga got it bad cuz I'm brown and not the other color so police think, they have the authority to kill a minority
I don't hate the po po...but fuck if some fools just want to beat on some folks because they can.

My cousin in a cop in Chicago.
You want to hear a negro go totally off about how racist and fucked up the police are, talk to a black cop.
*Farrakhan* would say, "Brother, don't you think that's a little extreme?"
