Ignorance vs. Dumbassosity
Ignorance is something you should be accustomed to. Being a dumbass is a curable condition, and is most definitely not something you should be accustomed to.
Allow me to illustrate with a personal anecdote:
Ignorance is me and a few other people in class scraping the aluminium foil off the barfi Professor Kachru brought in, until she gently explained that it wasn't aluminium foil, it was silver.
Further ignorance was someone bravely, hesitantly asking, "You mean, like, the stuff jewelry is made of silver?"
Professor Kachru, who had the patience of a saint dealing with a particularly stupid group of heathens, told us that yes, that silver more-or-less, and shut up and eat the fucking candy.
Being a dumbass would involve ignoring what she said and wandering off still believing that it was aluminium foil, and she was trying to poison the lot of us.
