she's just dusted leave her

July 8, more than any day in recent memory, demonstrated the need for the black community to discard the leadership of people like Julian Bond.

There's no such thing as "the black community", of course, as anyone who's had the misfortune of reading (or, god forbid had to deal with) Our Kind of People is well aware.

Still, we must make allowances for youth. In this case, the youth in question is Ben Shapiro, writing at TownHall.com.

Bored with the mother fucker. Here's a word list:

crudely, lambasting, tacky, incredible, slaughtered, piddling, parroting, "hodgepodge of nonsensical blabber", misguided

It's like fucking pundit bingo. They all write like that. Same words carefully chosen for maximum impact, generally the same unoriginal ideas. Oh, speaking of which, he refers to Michael Jackson as "the Thing of Pop". And mentions arch-villain Al Sharpton.

He keeps this up, he could be the next James Lileks. A sad little shit too scared to come into my neighborhood.

Let's bring it on home:

Julian Bond is shooting his own constituency in the back. Instead of focusing on real problems within the black community, Bond puts his priority on insulting Bush and Ashcroft, maintaining high taxes and killing school vouchers. There are many wonderful black spokesmen out there: Condoleeza Rice, Thomas Sowell, Alan Keyes, Larry Elder. If the black community wants leadership that will address its needs, it can do better than Julian Bond.

This is an 18-year-old white boy, lecturing "the black community" on who we should look to for leadership.

Did anybody ask for his advice?

Does anybody want his advice?

No need. We ain't the target demo for this anyway; he's convincing conservatives that black leadership is bad, so there's no reason to pay attention to them. Instead, listen to the people the black community should be listening to. Who are, by some odd coincidence, conservatives.

If this unsolicited advice thing is a two-way street, I have some suggestions for Mr. Shapiro. For a start, lose the high school yearbook photo.

Oh, wait, that's from yesterday.
